Rich Dionne is in his fourth year as a faculty member at Purdue where he has served as the technical director for
Arms and theMan, Buried Child, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The College Widow, Richard III, and
The Foreigner. Prior to coming to Purdue, Richard was the production manager and resident sound designer at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, where he mounted numerous productions at various indoor and outdoor venues, including a nationally-recognized educational touring company. Additionally, he has served as the technical director for Berkshire Theatre Festival, mounting critically-acclaimed productions including
Amadeus and
Night of the Iguana. Select sound design credits include Brecht’s
Life of Galileo, Macbeth, The Glass Menagerie, and
The Tempest at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey;
Romeo and Juliet and
The Tempest at Human Race Theatre Company,
Shadow of Greatness and
Starr’s Last Tape, both at The Berkshire Theatre Festival; and
Wintermezzo, an evening of new plays, at Actor’s Theatre of Louisville.
