The Yue-Kong Pao Hall of Visual and Performing Arts houses two innovatively designed theatres that are used for productions by the Division of Theatre.
Nancy T. Hansen Theatre
The new Nancy T. Hansen Theatre, a 300-seat proscenium theatre, opened its doors in 2006. This state-of-the-art facility was designed to provide an intimate actor/audience relationship through the use of an audience chamber that is only 12 rows deep and terraced seating to provide maximum visibility of the 36' wide by 28' tall proscenium opening. The theatre has a fully-trapped stage, a hydraulic pit lift, 65' fly house and ample wing space on either side of the stage.

Carole and Gordon Mallett Theatre
The Carole and Gordon Mallett Theatre, also new in 2006, is a flexible performance space with seating capacities ranging from 100-150 seats, depending on the stage configuration. The stage area features a changeable decking system that can be lowered as much as three feet below the audience entry level, creating arena, thrust, or end-stage arrangements.
